There are still 16 games to play in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup but a number of teams have already been eliminated.
The group format at the World Cup does give teams a second chance if they start badly, but two defeats in the first two games does confirm an early exit from the competition.
Unfortunately for eight teams they have suffered that very fate and find themselves eliminated from the tournament with a game to go in the groups.

Both Egypt and Saudi Arabia have crashed out early after they have both suffered defeats to Russia and Uruguay.
Morocco opened up with defeat to Iran and then another loss to Portugal has seen their group stage exit confirmed.
A lot was expected of Peru coming into Group C, but they have lost to Denmark and France in their opening two games to confirm an early exit.
Costa Rica have competed well in both their matches, but defeats to Serbia and Brazil see them get an early flight home.
Tunisia and Panama have both failed to pick up a single point in their contests with England and Belgium which leaves them to fight out third and fourth place in the group.
Despite being the Pot One team in the group, it is Poland who are eliminated first after defeats to Senegal and Colombia.
