The eyes of America were upon the 2018 midterm elections on Tuesday night, and one network won out in ratings by a landslide.

On primetime channels, NBC led the competition with a massive 4.2 Nielsen rating (which means 4.2 percent of the participating U.S. population tuned in). ABC came in second with an almost equally as impressive 4.0 Nielsen rating. CBS trailed behind with a 3.0 rating.
Its worth noting that primetime channels almost always lose out to cable channels that boast a 24/7 news cycle during election coverage. Those numbers are not yet available.
