Declan Rice has indicated that he will reject a move to Manchester United due to the current situation at Old Trafford, according to reports.
The 20-year-old impressed during his breakthrough season at West Ham and United are now keen to sign the player this summer.
Talks have opened the two clubs, however, West Ham have told United that they do not intend to sell Rice.
But according to The Independent, Rice also has misgivings about joining United in their current state.
Jadon Sancho has already snubbed a potential switch to Old Trafford due to concerns about his development and the report claims that Rice similarly feels that now is not the right time to be joining United.
As a result, United are now struggling to convince some of their top targets to move to Old Trafford this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Uniteds executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward that his squad is in need of significant strengthening but the club have been frustrated in negotiations for several players.
