The Ivory Coast international, Frank Kessie, lays down special conditions to reach a new deal with the Big Milan. He is looking for equity in salary with the Sweden expert, Ibrahimović.
The 24-year-old contract expires in 2022 amid a gap between the club and Kessie, who is said to be on Liverpool’s radar.
The Italian club is trying to deal with Kessie’s agent, as the Rossoneri are not looking to lose more players after losing Hakan Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma. They left the club to Inter and Paris SG.
It was reported that Kessie’s interest would make him stay, as he prefers to play more at San Siro, although the Reds is trying to sign him.
Meanwhile, Kissie made clear that he will stay once his salary reaches Ibra, who earns €7m a season. The club, in turn, is trying to get a win-win situation if the Ivory Coast international drops this number a bit.
Instead of a five-year deal, which was the club’s initial plan, they could settle for a two-year renewal. This would give them more time to handle the situation for the future and keep away the potential suitors for now.
Milan’s management suggested that a two-year contract is a feasible solution instead of a renewal of five years. This would turn down other clubs for the time being and give the Roosoneir time to agree with Kessie.
