125 Passengers of Italy Flight Test COVID Positive

125 passengers of Italy-Amritsar flight tested positive for Covid-19 upon their arrival in the northern Indian city.

All 125 passengers will be placed in isolation, health officials declared.

They were among 179 passengers on the flight from Verona which landed in Amritsar on Wednesday afternoon.

Last month,2,000 workers at Italy port of Trieste declared a general strike to protest the new Covid pass rules.

Italian authorities have earlier imposed a new Covid rules, forcing the dockers to show a Covid pass.

The Green Pass in Italy shows whether you have had the Covid vaccine, recovered from it or had a negative test.

Italy’s Trieste port is a maritime gateway for northern Italy, Germany, Austria and Central Europe.

In Trieste only 40% of 950 port workers have had the jab. Workers at other ports, including Genoa have likewise threatened to disrupt supply chains.
