EBN- FIFA has revealed the logo for the new edition of the Club World Cup, which will be the largest edition in the history of club tournaments, with 32 teams participating, as the countdown continues for the tournament that will be hosted by the United States of America.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will feature representatives from all six continental confederations: the Asian Football Confederation, the Confederation of African Football, the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football, the South American Football Confederation, the Oceania Football Confederation and the Union of European Football Associations. This edition of the tournament will redraw the map of the world’s most powerful clubs.
This tournament comes within the framework of FIFA’s efforts to provide more opportunities to play matches for national teams and clubs alike, which represents one of its strategic goals during the cycle extending from 2023 to 2027, in addition to raising football standards on the global level.
So far, 30 of the 32 teams have qualified. However, nne more club from CONMEBOL and the host nation still to be confirmed. The qualification path, which takes place through continental club competitions, is based on sporting merit over a four-year period and rewards the champions of their continents and those with consistent results.
The official account of the Club World Cup published a video revealing the new design of the tournament logo, and commented, saying: “Ready for a new era of football.”
The United States of America will host the Club World Cup from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
