The 48-year-old manager, who sailed the Red Ship as a successor of the Special One, has signed a new contract with the English club until 2024, with an additional year option.
As he led Man United to snatch 14 wins out of 19 fixtures, the Norwegian manager was offered a contract in 2019, which expires by the end of 2021-22 season.
Solskjaer finished his second season with the club, and first full one, in the third place in the English league.
Ole, who was a former player for the Red Devils, led them as a manager to finish the Premier League in the second place and reach the Europa League final last season.
Man United lost the final in favor of the Yellow Submarine after a penalty shootout.
“Hungry for success”
The former Man United striker expressed his hopes that the club will keep reaping the best results under his management.
“Everyone knows the feeling I have for this club, and I am delighted to have signed this new contract,” said Ole, “It is an exciting time for Manchester United. We have built a squad with a good balance of youth and experienced players that are hungry for success.”
The Norwegian added “I have a fantastic coaching team around me, and we are all ready to take that next step on our journey.”
Ed Woodward, the Club executive vice-chairman, stated “Ole and his staff have worked tirelessly putting the foundations in place for long-term success on the pitch.”
Woodward shared his sincere hope for the future of the club under the management of Ole, as he added “The results of that have become increasingly visible over the past two seasons and we are all looking forward to seeing this exciting team develop further in the years ahead.”
