The death of artist Dale Haddon dates back to when Solebury Township police responded to the home of her son-in-law, artist Marc Blucas , in Bucks County, Pennsylvania , around 6:30 a.m. local time on Friday, December 27, after receiving a 911 call, CBS News reported.
According to the police report, authorities found an unidentified 76-year-old man unconscious on the first floor of the home and was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey, where he is receiving treatment.
At the same time, a woman was found dead in a second-floor bedroom. In a statement to USA Today, Bucks County Deputy Coroner Elliot Gross confirmed the body to be that of artist Dale Haddon, explaining that a toxicology report is being prepared to determine the official cause of death.
Authorities also said that two paramedics were taken to a local hospital for carbon monoxide exposure, while a police officer was treated at the scene.
ABC 6 reported that other family members who were inside the main house on the property were not affected by the carbon monoxide leak suspected of causing the deaths. Police said they currently believe fumes from a boiler may be behind the suspected leak and that the investigation is ongoing.
