KOH SAMUI, Thailand, Europe Brief News – The Australian Cricket legend Shane Warne died at the age of 52 in Thailand. Thai Police confirmed that he died from natural causes.
A senior Thai police official said that the post mortem report showed no signs of foul play in 52-years old’s death. Shane Warne had fans from all over the world, he was also considered as one of the greatest of all time.
As per reports, Shane Warne died of a suspected Heart attack on Koh Samui Island where he was holidaying with some of his friends.
A deputy Police Spokesman said that we have contacted Warne’s family and they have accepted the findings. We will be transferring his body to Australian Consular Officials.
Autopsy Result
Krissana Phathanachareon, Spokesman of Deputy Police said “ Today investigators received autopsy results, in which the medical opinion is that the cause of death is natural”.
He further added, “ Investigators will summarise the autopsy result for prosecutors within the timeframe for the law”.
Songyot Chayaninporament, Deputy Director of Samui Hospital said “ the autopsy report showed Warne died of a “congenital disease”. There is no covid infection and no signs of assault or murder”.
Australia’s Ambassador Allan Mckinnon reached Koh Samui right after receiving the news of the sudden demise of Legendary Cricketer and thanked authorities for their professionalism.
He said that it was very important that the whole case was conducted very smoothly and that is exactly what the authorities did.
Well-Wishers left tributes of flowers, flags, an Australian sports shirt, a can of beans and a packet of cigarettes outside the villa on the northeast coast of Koh Samui where Warne was found unconscious.
Shane Warne was not only a superstar on the field but off the field, he was known as a person who was larger than life and always there to help people. He has helped a lot of people in getting their direction right about life.
Shane Warne was an Australian Leg spinner who took 708 test wickets. He holds a record for the second-highest wicket-taker in the longest format of the time only behind Sri Lankan Muttiah Muralitharan.
Warne was also a part of the team when Australia won the 50 over World Cup in 1999 beating Pakistan in the finals. He bid farewell to international cricket in 2007.
