EBN-The instant messaging program WhatsApp is now working on a new feature that will let users exchange animated photos in channels and in both individual and group discussions. By capturing fleeting bursts of movement both before and after the picture is shot, the feature gives conventional photographs a more dynamic feel.
Motion photographs are a kind of media format that records a fleeting movement both before and after a static image is captured.
Incorporate images and videos in a creative manner
WhatsApp clarified that, in contrast to traditional photos, the new feature incorporates facial expressions or spontaneous reactions, according to the specialized technology website WABetaInfo. GIFs are a more involved method of preserving memories since they combine a few seconds of music and video. Some cellphones include a common feature that combines images and movies in a creative way.
The goal of WhatsApp’s new GIF function is to increase the app’s capacity for media sharing.
Numerous devices have the feature
By giving still images a hint of movement, this function, which bridges the gap between photos and movies, is particularly well-liked on various mobile devices.
Numerous smart devices already have this capability, including Google Pixel devices, which refer to it as Top Shot or Motion Photos, and Galaxy phones, which offer it under the moniker Motion Photo. Live Photos is a comparable function that Apple also provides.
Use GIFs in both private and public conversations
Users have the option to send an animated or still image when they open the photo gallery. Because users can send the photograph with its animated element to more vividly capture the essence of the moment, this function will be especially helpful for sharing moments that contain facial expressions or spontaneous reactions.
For Android smartphones, the feature is currently being developed.
Notably, WhatsApp for Android is still working on adding the GIF sharing option, which should be accessible in a future release. This feature is now available on iOS for iPhones.
