The USA, world champions, end their match with Australia in a draw. It was the final group match in the Tokyo 2020 tournament.

As Sweden defeated New Zealand 2-0, the USA end the group state in second place.

While the USA and Sweden continue their quest to the quarter-final, Australia faces uncertainty, as they could progress as the best third team.

On top of the group, Sweden broke the USA 44-win streak in the opening match, amid great astonishment.

The loss left a sour taste in the mouth of USA players. So they chalked up a 6-1 win against New Zealand. However, Australia managed to get the point from the USA, as the USA scored an offside goal and hit the crossbar.

It is worth mentioning that Great Britain secured first place in Group E after a 1-1 draw with Canada.

Meanwhile, the Blue and Yellow were on fire as they secured the win in the first half against New Zealand.

Stunning player Vivianne Miedema kept her fine form in the Olympics by scoring eight goals so far. She scored two in the Netherlands 8-2 win against China.

This is a new world record in a single tournament, breaking Christine Sinclair 2012 record in London.

The hosting country inflicted a 1-0 defeat on Chile in Group E. And Brazil defeated Zambia 1-0 in the last match of the day.
