EBN- A security guard at the Cannes Film Festival has become a social media star, after she appeared in two separate fights with two international artists on the festival’s red carpet.
After her skirmishes with American actress Kelly Rowland a few days ago, the guard appeared again in a skirmish with Dominican star Maciel Taveras, where the actress pushed her in a strange scene.
While the identity of the guide has not been publicly revealed, it is said that she is a French woman working on a short-term contract with the festival.
Actress Maciel Taveras, previously crowned Miss Dominican Republic, was on the Cannes Film red carpet, Saturday, preparing to open a huge dress bearing the image of “Christ,” but she seemed surprised when the security guard stopped her. Then the actress insisted on spreading the train of the dress, defying the instructions, before the situation escalated. And she pushed the security guard.
Incitement Accusations
This came a few days after Rowland reprimanded the same guard on the red carpet, after she tried to direct her to go up the stairs and not wait long to greet fans, while the American star said that the guard treated her racistly.
The guard herself also faced accusations of inciting a confrontation with Korean pop star Yoona, while observers believe that the guard faces a real problem with a small number of “women of color standing on the stairs,” which was denied by those close to her.
The guard’s colleagues defended her by saying that she was “just doing her job,” according to the Daily Mail.
“She was working under a lot of pressure to keep people on the carpet moving, to prevent crowds from building up,” said one veteran festival employee, who has worked at the resort every May for 20 years.
He said: “There was no pushing, jostling or reprimanding, and that security and safety were paramount, in addition to adherence to strict timetables according to contracts – even celebrities had to adhere to the rules.”
