EBN- The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will witness a large attendance not only from sports fans and supporters, but also from celebrities and royal families.
The opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics kicked off with a grand ceremony, the most prominent of which was the performance of international star Celine Dion and Lady Gaga. It was not limited to them only, as the organizers of the Olympic competition still have more surprises in store.
Once the Olympics end on August 11 after the opening ceremony on July 26, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games flag will be handed over to its next stop: Los Angeles, which is set to host the 2028 Games, and global star Tom Cruise will take over the task.
According to TMZ, the plan for the upcoming closing ceremony will include Tom Cruise rappelling from the top of the Stade de France, landing on the field and carrying the official Olympic flag.
The TV broadcast will then cut to a pre-recorded film, with the first two minutes showing Tom flying the Olympic flag from France to Los Angeles, where he parachutes into the Hollywood sign. The film will then show Tom handing the flag to other Olympians — including a cyclist, a skier and a volleyball player — as they head around the next host city for the Summer Games.
Tom Cruise supports gymnastics legend Simone Biles
Tom Cruise , 62, was among the first in the stands to watch Simone Biles’ comeback, while Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and her brother Frankie Grande were also in attendance, with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour sitting in front of them.
