American actor Dominic West owns three magnificent homes and a fictional castle in Ireland called “Glen Castle” that resembles the palaces of kings and princes. This castle belonged to his wife Catherine’s ancestors. After their marriage in 2010, the couple purchased the magnificent property when it was put up for sale.
The 18th-century castle has 15 rooms and is surrounded by 400 acres of private woodland. A description on the castle’s website says: “It has been owned by the Fitzgerald family, hereditary knights of Glyn, for over 700 years. With its magnificent interiors, ornate plasterwork, collections of Irish furniture and paintings, the castle is situated on the bank of the River Glyn, surrounded by formal gardens, parkland and a dairy farm.”

In a 2017 interview with Architectural Digest, the couple revealed that they enlisted the help of a company to help them convert the windmill and furnish and decorate their family home. “We wanted something that we hadn’t seen a million times before,” Jr. said. “We didn’t set out to do anything overtly weird.”
The couple’s home includes a pool, a freestanding poolside pavilion, an outdoor living room, a three-car garage, a guest house and a tennis court.
