Moscow, Europe Brief News – The Kremlin has reported that French president Emanuel Macron has declined to take a Covid’19 test over a fear that Russian authorities may steal his DNA.
As per various reports, the French president had two options. If he wants to sit close to Vladmir Putin during the meeting, he first has to go through the PCR test or follow social distancing protocol to sit far away from putin.
Mr Macron went with the second option and had to sit far away from the Russian president Putin during the entire meeting. He even avoided shaking hands with him.
The photos can be seen of both presidents sitting at opposite ends of a table so long that it provoked satirical comment on social media and speculation that Putin might be doing it to send a message.
The French president took a French PSR test before taking a flight to meet the Russian leader and refused to take the Russian PSR test over certain fear.
Dmitry Peskov said “It is understanding of the French position, which he claimed was guided by the desire to protect Mr Putin during their meeting”.
Moreover, he added that this act has absolutely nothing to do with politics and it played no negative role in the meeting.

As per reports, the Russian leader has been extra careful about Covid’19 disease since its introduction to the entire world. Putin is staying in a virus free space created by his security forces.
The Kremlin has officially spent around $85 million dollars on quarantine shelters to facilitate visitors and staff. The purpose of these shelters is to protect the president from virus.
On the other hand, Macron’s office said “ The Russian health protocol did not seem to us to be either acceptable or compatible with our diary constraints”.
Macron’s office was mainly concerned by the time required to get the results of the Russian PCR test.
When he asked about the DNA theft, Macron’s office said “ The president has doctors who define with them the rules that are acceptable or not in terms of his own health protocol”
Putin after having a controversially social distancing meeting with Macron , welcomed a president of Kazakhstan. Both of the men shook hands and sat near to each other unlike meeting with macron.
