London, Europe Brief News – A labour MP is planning to get assurances in UK parliament that the Duke will not use public money to pay for the Prince Andrew’s Settlement with Virginia Giuffre.
Virgnia Giuffre was taking necessary measures to sue Queen’s son suggesting that he had sexually abused her. Prince Andrew did not want to take this case to court so he made an out of court settlement with Guiffre for a payment close to 12 Million.
Prince Andrew announced a “Settlement in principle” with Giuffree in a joint statement made no admission of guilt over the allegations.
Andy Mcdonald, the MP for Middlebrough claimed that he would definitely elevate this issue in front of other MP’s once they come back to Westminster after finishing their half term.
While talking to BBC he said “This is a person of very high profile involved in a case where his position of authority and privilege has been allegedly abused and it is an enormous sum of money”.
He further added “I am going to take the opportunity to raise this issue in parliament because the issue is not going to go away until people have the information and receive assurances that public money is not going to be used to in any way contribute to settlement”.
Prince Andrew’s Substantial donation:
Andrew has also confirmed that he will make a solid donation to Giuffre’s charity for victim rights. He even showed his regret over his association with Epstein ( The sex trafficker).
Ian Murphy, The Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland suggests that We will require a clarity on the settlement fee if the duke tries to use public money to pay the Victim.
Mark Stephens, An International Reputation Lawyer said that Andrew will have to provide details on how this sum of money he is going to get from or he would risk the reputation of Monarchy.
He further added “ I think there is equal concern that it comes from the royal family and what they want to see is that Andrew is paying out of his own pocket, that he is personally being punished here”.
As per various reports, Andrew is selling his Swiss Ski to get the required money to pay out the victim.
