London – Europe Brief News – The UK government has made a huge announcement that People suffering from Covid-19 would not necessarily need to self-isolate themselves.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson suggests that all of the legal restrictions placed to control the spread of the Covid-19 will be eased for the people of the UK. Moreover, He will share the entire plan in parliament on coming Monday.
Some of the government Scientific Advisers criticised this decision as a riskier move which can increase the cases in the country.
Wes Streeting, Health spokesman for the main opposition labour party accused Boris Johnson of declaring victory before the war was over.
Johnson Conservative Government eased most of the restrictions in January including the removal of vaccine passports for venues and the wearing of masks at most public places.
A combination of high vaccination rates in the UK and the milder omicron variant means easing restrictions did not lead to a surge in hospitalisation and deaths.
Even though all the efforts that the UK government Put in to protect people from the virus, it has recorded the most death cases from Covid after Russia with more than 160,000 deaths.
As per the reports, 85% of people aged 12 and up have received at least two vaccination doses and almost two-thirds have had a third booster shot.
Conservative Government Favouring Freedom Of People
The Conservative government has announced that they will uplift all the domestic Covid-19 restrictions to provide people their freedom back. The government believes that now it’s our responsibility as individuals to look after ourselves.
The legal requirement to isolate for at least 5 days after a positive covid-19 test will possibly be replaced with advisory measures.
Since the covid has become endemic and it is almost impossible to wipe off this virus for once and all, the doctors will treat the coronavirus just like another flu.
Boris Johnson said, “ Covid will not suddenly disappear, and we need to learn to live with this virus and continue to protect ourselves without restricting our freedom”.
This Announcement will surely please the conservative party lawmakers as they have been criticising the government that the restrictions were ineffective and disproportionate.
On the other hand, scientists are coming up with different theories as covid upcoming viruses can be even more lethal than the current ones.
