Kyiv, Europe Brief News – Top officials across the world, especially in European leaders demanded to put Vladimir Putin on a trial over striking Europe’s largest Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine.

Putin faced a major backlash when Russian forces almost ignited a nuclear disaster with an attack on Ukraine’s nuclear atomic plant. The strike on the Zaporizhzhia plant sparked fears of a radioactive catastrophe as a fire raged for hours in part of the vast site.

Attack on Ukraine’s nuclear power plant
The attack on the Zaporizhzhia in the southern part of Ukraine killed three guards. The emergency guard was not being able to calm the fire for four hours due to continuous bombing and shelling.
This assault which comes 36 years after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in Soviet Ukraine was branded a war crime by the US.
Right after the Russian attack on the nuclear plant, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Britain PM Boris Johnson and declared that an assault on a nuclear power plant is a serious threat to the common European health and safety.
He added that this region still remembers what happened with Chernobyl when radioactive clouds spread over the whole continent.
German Galushchenko, Ukraine’s Energy Minister said “This is real nuclear terrorism. They shelled directly to the station. They know what they did”.
Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary-General warned that there are high chances that Russia will bring heavier weaponry as the brutal conflict intensifies.
He blamed Russia for dropping illegal cluster bombs in the streets of Ukraine and forecasted that more people are going to die as the war move forward.
Mr Stoltenberg said, “ We have seen the use of cluster bombs and we have seen reports of the use of other types of weapons which would violate International law”.
Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister accused Russian forces of raping Ukrainian women. He claimed that he has seen numerous cases.
