London, Europe Brief News – British experts are predicting that the UK is to witness the hottest summer in 100 years.
Warmer than average weather will be blown over from continental Europe with the highest temperatures seen in the country so far this year.
The mercury is set to reach an unseasonable 20C with conditions remaining fine and dry into the weekend.
Londoners have been hotly anticipating the return of many things for quite some now; summer holidays abroad, festivals and Notting Hill Carnival and above all, the sunny weather for it.
It seems that prayers have been answered as this upcoming week is forecasted to have the hottest day of the year so far. The Met Office predicts temperatures will soar next week, marking the beginning of spring.
Today, Tuesday (March 22) will see temperatures hit 17C and maintain the same heights the following day on Wednesday (23 March). This will be the hottest day of the year so far in London.
Tuesday will see clear skies all day, and likewise with Wednesday. The Met Office says the rest of the month will be dry across most of the UK, with some showery outbreaks in the North and some cloud cover in the south, with light patchy rain. Overnight fog and frost are possible, but any rain is most likely to affect the North, leaving London clear and sunny. Wind is also predicted to be light and temperatures will be average or above average.
