Moscow, Europe Brief News – Russia claimed that it has successfully tested its new Sarmat intercontinental nuclear-capable missile. President Vladimir Putin had said it would give Moscow’s adversaries pause.
The missile was fired from Plesetsk in the country’s northwest and struck targets on the Kamchatka peninsula in the far east.

The Sarmat Nuclear-Capable Missile Launch

Sarmat Missile
The Sarmat is a new heavy Intercontinental Ballistic Missile that Russia is intended to deploy with ten or more warheads per missile.
Putin warned the West that any effort to obstruct the invasion “would bring such repercussions that you had never faced in your history” when he announced it on Feb 24.
He then placed Russia’s nuclear forces on maximum alert, alarming the West. “The danger of nuclear war, previously inconceivable, is now within reach,” said UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on March 14.
The Sarmat was launched from a silo launcher at 1512 Moscow time (1212 GMT) and reached a test range on Kamchatka in the Pacific (3,700 miles). “Sarmat is the world’s most powerful missile with the largest range of annihilation of targets,” it stated.

The nuclear-capable missile testing is a constant looming threat for Ukraine. This nuclear missile is said to give a hard time to whoever comes at the facing end.
