Story Plot of the Episode
Chrissy had a heroin addiction that he couldn’t get rid of for years. Despite several efforts at sobriety, he was always doomed to failure.
These are people Tony was trying to mold into the next generation of family leaders. His short-term objectives included making Christopher his right-hand guy. Unfortunately for him, the same thing happened over and over again.
After the accident, Tony concluded that his “nephew” was no longer worth saving.
The last straw was a damaged kid seat. I needed to be awakened by it. It served as a sobering reminder of Chrissy’s past as a heroin addict and her likely future as a source of trouble.
In my opinion, Tony committed a heinous sin by doing this. It made sense, though, from a business standpoint.
Why did Tony Kill Christopher – Christopher Became a Liability
As the show proceeds, it becomes clearer that Christopher is powerless to modify his ways. Tony’s options were limited after the crash. He only had two options:
- He may take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to assassinate Christopher without drawing any attention.
- Or, for as long as he was alive, he could sit back and wait for his next “f**k up.”
Ater tony sees that he and his family are in danger from someone like this. Chrissy was the most vulnerable of Tony’s subordinates and prone to make a blunder or do something ridiculous. He goes off the rails after the performance.
Times when Christopher Messed Up
All the times Christopher causes trouble:
- Paulie Gualtieri and Christopher had a tense relationship.
- J. T. Dolan, a friend, and fellow writer, was killed by him when intoxicated.
- The film industry diverts his attention.
- He has a relapse.
- Disillusionment and anger begin to take hold of him as he becomes more disillusioned with the mob.
