Jerusalem, Europe Brief News – At least ten Palestinians were shot dead and many others suffered bullet injuries on Wednesday morning after the Israeli army stormed Nablus City amid intensive use of live ammunition.
According to the Palestinian health ministry, ten Palestinian citizens were killed and at least 102 others were injured, six of them in critical condition, by Israeli gunfire.
Earlier this morning, the IOF encircled a house during its raid in the Old City of Nablus and fired a projectile at it, destroying large parts of it.
The new deaths brought the total number of Palestinians killed since the start of the year to 59, including 13 children and an elderly woman.
Earlier last month, a similar deadly raid was carried out in Jenin, leaving nine Palestinians dead.
The European Union (EU) Office in Palestine expressed at that time deep concern about ‘Israel’s excessive use of lethal force against the Palestinians in the occupied territories.’
The statements came after a shocking footage shared online showed an Israeli soldier attacking a Palestinian man before pulling a gun and shooting him in Hawwara town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.
The Palestinian was hit in the upper body and fell to the ground before being left bleeding for long hours without medical assistance till his death.
