Messi outpaced Ronaldo in this aspect after Ronaldo returned to Manchester United from Juventus in August 2021.
“Marca” clarified that the sales numbers for jerseys bearing Messi’s name in the first 24 hours exceeded the figures achieved by Tom Brady when he became a player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and LeBron James when he joined the Los Angeles Lakers, both of whom are legends in the NBA.
The Spanish newspaper indicated that as soon as the Inter Miami jerseys with the number 10, worn by Messi, were made available, they were sold out immediately in all Adidas stores and outlets. Adidas experienced an unprecedented crisis due to the immense demand for Messi’s jersey, given that the world’s best player, a seven-time recipient of the title, signed with the American team.
The German company affirmed that it is planning to restock its stores with additional authentic Messi jerseys within two months from now, according to “Marca.”

Inter Miami has won the last three matches Messi participated in, defeating Cruz Azul (2-1), Atlanta United (4-0), and Orlando City (3-1) successively.
