EBN- The British royal family gathered Saturday to celebrate the occasion of “Trooping the Colour”, which is the second party for King Charles after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth, in September 2022.
The party was a little different from past years, as over the years, the event has brought together many members of the royal family to participate. In procession, either on horseback or in a carriage, before gathering on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the Royal Air Force’s air show.
But this year, the occasion returns at a time when many members of the royal family are suffering from health problems – both Kate Middleton and King Charles are undergoing cancer treatment, in addition to the disagreements that have occurred within the family members, so it is not clear who will stand on the balcony this year.
The event started at around 10:00 am London time, with the royal family departing from Buckingham Palace to take part in the parade before returning to Buckingham Palace to appear on the balcony at around 12:25.
King Charles attended the celebration despite being treated for cancer, along with his wife, Queen Camilla.
But unlike previous years when King Charles would ride a horse in the parade, this year the king sit in a horse-drawn carriage accompanied by his wife.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex last attended the “Trooping the Colour” celebration in 2019 before they officially stepped down from their duties as working members of the Royal Family in 2020.
