Celine Dion Back On Stage In Message Of Hope
Following her performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony, Celine Dion once again appeared to be sending a message of hope when she appeared on stage at the 2024 Spirit of Life Gala in City of Hope on Tuesday, October 22, to present the Spirit of Life Award, which honors leaders for their outstanding contributions to their communities and professions. She presented the award to Jay Marciano, Chairman and CEO of AEG Presents.
The concert is part of the Cancer Research and Treatment Foundation’s annual charity campaign, which benefits childhood, teen and young adult survival programs.
This is the first time I’ve been on stage since I was on that tower, and I kind of miss it,” Celine Dion told the audience. “This City of Hope is a good name. It does so much more than important research that leads to new treatments. It provides care for people in their greatest need, in their most difficult and challenging moments in life.
And that’s so important,” she added. “It provides the most valuable element, it provides hope. And I know how important that is. I know that in our wonderful lives, full of family and joy and love, we can also face enormous challenges, with great tests of faith and strength. For many of us who go through this at some point, what a joy it is to be together with everyone in this room tonight to do everything we can to help spread this great gift of hope.
