EBN- The spokeswoman for the US President-elect announced that a number of members of Donald Trump’s incoming administration have received “threats,” particularly “bomb alerts.”
According to Agence France-Presse, Carolyn Levitt said in a statement: “Yesterday evening and this morning, a number of people appointed by President Trump to join his team received violent and anti-American threats.”
Donald Trump’s spokeswoman mentioned threats such as “bomb alerts” and “sending a police unit to the victims’ homes” without further details.
The FBI confirmed that it was “aware of numerous bomb threats and incidents of police units being sent to the homes of individuals expected to join the incoming administration.”
“We take all potential threats seriously,” he said in a statement.
Elise Stefanik, who was appointed by Donald Trump as the US ambassador to the United Nations, said in a statement that she “received a bomb threat in her home.”
The presidential campaign was one of the most tense in modern US history, after Donald Trump was the target of two assassination attempts.
