EBN-Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle , the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, continue their efforts to show support for those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires that struck the country last January, leaving thousands of homes destroyed and hundreds of families displaced, not to mention those who lost their homes and assets due to the California wildfires.

Prince Harry , 40, attended the One805 Rock for Responders charity fundraiser yesterday at the Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara, California. The location is located near the Duke of Sussex’s house. Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, and their two kids, Prince Archie, age five, and Princess Lilibet, age three, reside in Santa Barbara’s Montecito neighborhood.
The nonprofit One805, based in Santa Barbara, put on this sold-out concert to help those impacted by the floods and those who lost their homes and businesses, as well as to raise money for California’s recovery from the damage.
The event served as a fundraiser, with a percentage of the earnings supporting musicians impacted by the wildfires and providing mental health assistance to people impacted in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.
The Duke of Sussex is a long-time advocate for mental health and has served as Chief Executive Officer of the mental health and coaching platform BetterUp since 2021 to promote this work. Harry and Meghan have also supported One805’s fundraising in recent years.
At least 29 people have died in the devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area, which began on January 7 and were not fully contained until January 31.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle , visited several wildfire survivors and emergency medical workers in Pasadena, California , and also suggested several ways to help victims of the deadly fires in Southern California.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also spoke with officials at the food distribution site, where the World Central Kitchen charity was distributing meals. They met with Spanish chef José Andrés, the founder of the organization, of which the couple are longtime supporters. The organization aims to provide hot meals to people in crisis areas.

People magazine reported that the couple opened their home to friends and loved ones who were forced to evacuate. The couple lives about 90 miles north of Los Angeles , in an area of Santa Barbara that was not evacuated.
In addition to helping their loved ones, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are working with their Archewell Foundation to identify the most effective ways to support the community during this crisis. The foundation is also exploring volunteer opportunities to assist with mental health recovery for those who need immediate assistance, while facilitating long-term recovery efforts.
