BERLIN — Germany will not lift its current restrictions against the coronavirus until at least April 19 — a week after Easter Sunday — Chancellor Angela Merkel said Wednesday.
“A pandemic knows no holidays,” Merkel told reporters by telephone as she continues to work from home.
She urged Germans to stay home and avoid traveling or visiting family in the days ahead, including for Easter celebrations.
