President Donald Trump said he will not commit to accepting the 2020 presidential election results, prompting criticism from presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Bidens campaign.
Trump told “Fox News Sunday” that he does not like to lose.
Asked if hes gracious, the Republican added: “You dont know until you see. It depends. I think mail-in voting is going to rig the election. I really do.”
When anchor Chris Wallace wondered whether Trump was suggesting he wouldnt accept the results if he loses, Trump pointed out that Hillary Clinton continually accused him of cheating to win the 2016 election.
Trump later said that he wanted to keep Wallace in suspense.
“Can you give a direct answer, you will accept the election?” Wallace asked.
“I have to see. Look, I have to see. No, Im not going to just say yes. Im not going to say no. And I didnt last time either,” Trump said.
