Israeli warplanes launched late yesterday a new series of air raids on the besieged Gaza Strip for the second time since a ceasefire ended Israel’s 11-day attacks on the enclave.
The new airstrikes targeted a civil administration building, sites belonging to armed Palestinian resistance groups, and an agricultural field.
No casualties were reported so far.
The attacks came in flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement between the Hamas Movement and Israeli under Egyptian auspices.
Israeli sources claimed the attacks were in response to the continued launching of incendiary balloons from the Gaza Strip.
However, Hamas Movement considered the attacks as “a demonstrative show by the new Israeli government.”
The Movement vowed to respond to these Israeli violations.
“The resistance will be on the lookout in defence of our people, our people, and our holy sites,” the Movement added.
Israel’s new Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who ended Benjamin Netanyahu’s 12-year run in power, has earlier threatened to wage new attacks on Gaza and Lebanon.
