Patrick Vieira, Palace new boss, want to bring another centre back to the club after signing Guehi from Chelsea; the Eagles have discovered the Denmark International after spending a loan season at Fulham; the 25-year player is also at the radar of the Spurs.
The Eagles are in an attempt to sign Lyon’s centre back, Joachim Andersen.
The English club was impressed by the Denmark international’s performance during his one-year loan at Fulham, although the latter was relegated to the Championship.
It was reported that Patrick Vieira, the Eagles’ new boss, wanted to reinforce the defending squad of his time as they singed Marc Guehi from the Blues.
While both Crystal Palace and Lyon believe they will agree on the fee, the personal terms with Andersen will not be an issue.
Palace was not the only club impressed by Andersen, as the Spurs may enter this race to get the services of the Denmark international, but the Eagles are most likely to conclude the deal.
His loan seasons with Fulham was not the only show for Joachim, as he participated with Denmark in Euro 2020 in the knockout stages.
At the same time, the club put the talks with the current defender Gary Cahill overextension on hold, as both failed to reach an agreement so far.
But the club hopes to keep Cahill for another season.
