Man City adopted a new design for the third kit this season, the club announced today.
Man City’s jersey comes without a badge, which is a new style that the club never followed.
The club opted the Eagle badge with nothing. They filled its space with ‘Man City’ all over the jersey.
Interestingly, the club sealed a deal with Puma, who has been designing the club’s shirt for three years now. And this season, they have come with an intriguing idea, which at some point is risky.
Last season, Puma also brought in a special design, which involves paisley style for the away kit. While it was risky going that rode, the jersey went viral and fans loved it.
However, removing the badge is even riskier. But it seems Puma gained more confidence after their spell with the city last season. The shirt is “straight out of the archives of tomorrow,” said Puma.
It has two blues with a barely visible gray badges all over the shirt. Instead of the Eagle, it has a Puma logo.
Dope Dye tech is what Puma used to bring about this intriguing design, with a smooth manufacturing. The process helps reducing the water and dye during manufacturing.
‘The Material’
The shirt is dryCELL, which is a thermoregulation tech. It maintains the wearer comfortable with a dry status.
It is worth mentioning that it uses Ultra-light jacquard design. It promotes breathability.
This is the third jersey for Man City that Puma releases this season. Concerning the main jersey, it features a clock design.
Moreover, they declared the design is an act of commemorating Agurero’s nick-time goal in 2012. The historical goal that brought the city the Premier League title.
If a fan hates badges on a football jersey, then the new kit is the option.
