Cristian Ronaldo has missed Juventus training today, almost reaching a deal with Man City, an Italian sports agency reported today.
Reports announced that Ronaldo has already told his teammates about his intention to leave the club. While the 26-year-old still has one year left in his contract, he wishes to wear another jersey—perhaps the City’s.
The football world knows that only PSG and Man City have the abilities to bring Ronaldo. However, PSG bringing Messi made it even impossible to sign the CR7.
In the context of that, Man City is the only possible destination that Ronaldo most likely is going to reach.
News agencies report that Ronaldo is closer than ever to Man City. And others suggest that the club already initiated personal talks with the player.
Also, the player and the club reached an agreement on personal terms. Ronaldo has shown a willingness to agree on a massive reduction to £900,000 weekly. This comes as an attempt to facilitate the process.
What remains is the official talks between the Old Lady and the Man City. The player, according to Italian news agencies, left the training to seal the deal in Manchester.
Bidding farewell
According to Fabrizio Romano, a well-known Italian journalist, Ronaldo left the training after bidding farewell to Juventus players. Cameras shot CR7 while leaving the training stadium.
Harry Kane’s announcement of remaining with the Spurs spurred the talks between Ronaldo and Man City. Although Kane wanted to join Man City, the Spurs’ chairman exerted pressure on the player on different levels.
Ronaldo the all-time scorer of Real Madrid accomplished great numbers at Juventus since moving in 2018. The Portuguese international has put in 134 appearances, scoring 101 goals in all competitions.
Looking at the reason Juventus brought Ronaldo, it turns out that Ronaldo failed with Juventus. The club brought the CR7, hoping to win the Champions League, which did not happen in the last three seasons.
While City bring Ronaldo as a replacement for failed Kane’s transfer, Juventus as well have a replacement. The Old Lady are already in talks with Everton over Moise Kean. The latter departed Juventus in 2019, and yet he has not found it pleasing at Goodison Park.
This would facilitate his move back to Juventus.
