The US White House has allowed Wednesday a Covid vaccine for kids aged between five to 11.
Thus, the White House detailed plans for the Pfizer shot for younger children in a matter of weeks.
Federal regulators and advisers will meet over the next two weeks to weigh the benefits of giving shots to kids. This came after lengthy studies meant to ensure the safety and efficacy of the vaccines.
Independent advisers to the Food and Drug Administration begun reviewing the evidence on Pfizer vaccines for children early next week.

Many parents and pediatricians are clamoring for protection for children younger than 12, today’s age cutoff for the vaccine made by Pfizer.
However, experts say authorization of the vaccine for children will be critical to controlling the pandemic.
Nearly 850,000 cases were confirmed among US children in the past four weeks, and kids still account for a disproportionate share of weekly cases.
Pfizer has earlier submitted a demand to the US government to approve the use of its COVID vaccine for children aged five to 11.
In its official application, the company said its research shows no adverse side effects for the age group. Bur, it recommends smaller dose.
Pfizer fuurther said its research showed that young children should get a third of the vaccine dose.
After two doses, five to 11-year-olds developed virus-fighting antibody levels just as strong as teens and young adults get from regular-strength shots, the company said.
