The AX-1 launch will mark the flight of civilians for the very first time. It is a unique type of human spaceflight mission. There is no doubt it is an expensive one for the participants. X-1 mission is turning out to be costly for the flyers. Each one of them has to pay around $55 million for acquiring their seats.
SpaceX crew capsule is popularly known as Crew Dragon. The trio includes Canadian investor Mark Pathy and American real estate investor Larry Connor. If this isn’t enough the former Israeli Air Force pilot Eytan Stibbe will join the team.
Flyers & Crew On Axiom Space Ax-1 Mission
The commander of the A-x 1 SpaceX is a veteran named Michael López-Alegría. He is a former astronaut from NASA and has been a part of many special missions to space. Currently, he is working as the vice president of Ax-1 Axiom. The mission is popularly known as Ax-1 and it has become a trend among new and private astronauts.
Previously all such missions were under Governments control. However, it is evolving over the years as the space industry is growing by leaps and bounds. It is the first step by SpaceX to launch a new mission for the people who are interested in visiting space.
A major goal of Axiom Space Ax-1 mission is to make space accessible for everyone. SpaceX is sending people safely to the safe and returning to the earth. It is the first time they are sending flyers privately as previously they worked with NASA astronauts. The company aims to work without the assistance of NASA and make the flying experience bigger and better.
It seems that the flights of civilians are going to become more common in the future. Axiom strives hard to create a fleet of various commercial space stations. They are arranging for three additional private crew missions, especially to the ISS. Ax-1 will gear up and get the best of everything at its first station. The company plans to make space easily accessible for all the common people too.
