
Balfour Beatty plc (LON:BBY) told investors its Gammon joint venture company has landed a new £1.27bn contract to work on the expansion of Hong Kong International Airports Terminal 2.
Gammon, a 50:50 partnership with Asian conglomerate Jardine Matheson, will be responsible for the expansion of the main Terminal 2 building and construction of interconnecting bridges, mechanical and electrical works as well as associated viaducts and roads.
The terminal expansion project is part of Hong Kong airports Three-runway System project which is intended to allow arrivals and departures from one terminal and will increase overall passenger capacity.
