California, Europe Brief News – Donald Trump has launched his new social media venture with the name of Truth social. Truth Social was launched on Sunday in Apple’s app store.
The introduction of the Application indicates the comeback of Former American President Donald Trump into the world of social media. Several social media platforms removed his social accounts last year over fears of hate speech.
After a few hours of the launching, the app became the Top Free App available on the Apple App store early Monday. Truth Social was automatically downloaded to apple devices who made a purchase as a pre-order.
As per Reports, due to high demand for the app, many users reported having an issue with registering for an account or received a message “ Due to massive demand, we have placed you on our waitlist”.
Trump faced an indefinite ban from the giant social media platforms including Twitter , Facebook and Youtube after his supporters attacked the US capitol. He was posting messages to encourage violence.
Devin Nunes, Former Republican U.S Representative is leading the Trump Media and technology group.
Collaboration With Top Technology Firms
The Venture behind Truth social joins hands with high-profile Technology Companies that are positioning themselves as champions of free speech and hope to draw users who feel their voice and views are suppressed on established platforms.
For the time being no one, Including Gettr, Parler and Rumble, managed to come close to the popularity of their main stream competitor Twitter. Twitter is leading the charts and far away from anyone’s reach.
Nunes said on Fox news “ This week we will begin to roll out on the Apple App store. That is going to be awesome, because we are going to get so many more people that are going to be on the platform”.
He further added “ Our main goal is , I think we are going to hit it, I think by the end of March we are going to be fully operational at least within the United States”.
Truth Social App was first introduced on the App store with version 1.0 . But as per several reports, the company has made some improvements to clear bugs with updated version 1.0.1 .
