Brussels, Europe Brief News –A decade ago, Duke Nukem was such a popular video game series that I wouldn’t be astonished if you had no clue who the character was. Due to its 14-year development period and eventual failure, the actor forever has become the punchline of many a video game vaporware joke.
Duke Nukem Rumoured to be Part Of a Big Project
Although Duke’s corporate owners had been rumored to be planning a cinematic adaptation of Cobra Kai, it has just recently been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter: Legendary Entertainment has hired the Cobra Kai founders Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg to produce the film.
I’m at a loss for words. As a fan of Duke Nukem games like Duke Nukem II and Duke 3D, I completely agree that this film should never have been developed since Duke Nukem has no depth or plot and was always supposed to be a caricature. The famous phrase about coming to kick ass, chewing bubblegum, and running out of gum? This is a quotation from one of the films on which Duke was based, as are many others.

Cobra Kai – Karate Kid Sequel
Isn’t it time you saw Cobra Kai, the Karate Kid spinoff that has had four seasons and counting and is maybe worthy of dubbing a sequel? It reunites the original performers. It took us a while to get over our initial reservations and accept that they’d uncovered something worthwhile.
These folks can save a sexist, machismo-driven franchise that’s grown obsolete in the current world. They’ve compiled a comprehensive guide.
Before John Cena’s starring role in the film version of Duke Nukem, the film’s producers admitted that they were “struggling” with how to make the misogynistic character “fun and loveable” while also being “an incredible badass” all at the same time and that they would have to pull a Deadpool to get the tone right. According to Wikipedia, a Duke Nukem movie has been in the works since the late ’90s.

Video Games by Nukem
Plans for a film based on the Duke Nukem video game have been on and off since last year, potentially owing to issues with the intellectual property rights of Duke Nukem. Embracer Group acquired Gearbox Software in February of last year, and Embracer Group purchased the owner of 3D Realms in August of last year.
Saudi Arabia just bought a $1 billion share in the firm from Embracer Group. Rock Paper Shotgun notes that this opens the door for another game. Gearbox and 3D Realms have been at odds over ownership of various Duke Nukem assets for almost a decade, but now they’re all working together. However, I’m curious to know which Duke will be returning.
The Takeaway!
There was a period before Duke Nukem 3D, and the Cobra Kai makers should remember that. As a kid, I used to fantasize about being able to shoot a turkey leg with a laser gun and have it transform into a whole bird. We lived in different times then.
