The divorce ruling in January came nearly 20 weeks after Lopez filed a motion in Los Angeles County Superior Court to dissolve the marriage on Aug. 20, without an attorney, asking for no spousal support for either party, splitting attorney fees and noting that the exact nature of their community, quasi-community assets, separate property and liabilities were unknown and would be determined.
Lopez stated that April 26 was the date of their separation, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
