London, Europe Brief News – The Met office has announced a yellow weather warning as 60mph gale winds can smash the UK anytime in the next three days.
The Met office claimed that the powerful winds will hit the North West of England from 6am until 3pm. Moreover, the snow and gale wind will hit the bigger chunk of Scotland between 1pm to 3pm tomorrow.
The Met office said “ Frequent heavy snow showers are expected, along with very gusty winds and a small chance of frequent lightning affecting some places”.
The Forecasters believe that the wind will be highly unlikely to cause injuries or any kind of harm to life from flying waste.
They further added that the longer journey times or cancellation on the road, rail and air services also expected some vehicles and passengers could become helpless.
A Met office spokesman said “ Temperatures across Scotland dropped sharply following a squally band of rain on Wednesday, with Frequent heavy and blustery snow showers arriving from the Atlantic”.
He further added that the rain can come with strong gale winds while the gusts are to stay 50-60 mph with minimum chances to reach to 70 mph on the coastal areas.
The chances are quite grim that some of the showers may come with Persistent lightning, which can really impact the power supply.
He said “Snow showers are increasingly likely to turn back to rain and sleet at low levels later Thursday morning and early afternoon, Although remaining as snow above 200-300m”.
The Environment agency has alerted the communities In West midlands to be well prepared for a possible flooding until Wednesday following high rainfall from Storm Franklin.
The Met office claimed that there will not be a huge amount of rain today. More rain in the flood affected areas can potentially slow down recovery work.

- If possible, cover your car with a tight fitting car cover for extra protection.
- Prevent parking under trees and power lines.
- Fill up on petrol to avoid long lines at petrol stations.
