This year, a pet costume contest took place in Lima, Peru in honor of the Halloween.
More than a hundred dogs and cats participated in the event.
A Batman cat, a witch Chihuahua, a charismatic Pitbull dressed as a bee, and even a spooky pug dressed as Chucky were among the attendees.
People dressed up their pets in different clothes and accessories and entered them in the competition.
A dog named Mimi won first place in a costume contest based on the day of Halloween.
The competition is held annually to promote animal husbandry at home.
“This united us as a family. We all worked together to prepare both costumes. Especially my mom, she uses all her time to prepare the costumes,” said Sandra Arce, the owner of the witch Chihuahua.
According to local authorities, the contest came to promote respect and care for animals.
Approximately, 350 dogs and cats participated with their owners in the 4th edition of the “Canoween“.
