Paris, Europe Brief News – A man was knocked down to death by police at the Gare du Nord station in Paris on Monday morning, when a man holding a knife appeared from nowhere and started threatening officers.

After this horrible incident, a security perimeter has been set up at the departure level of mainline trains. Several trains had to face a marginal delay as a result.
Jean Baptiste Djebarri confirmed on RMC that the attacker died on the spot while two police officers received minor injuries.

The Gare du Nord station is considered to be Europe’s one of the busiest stations, helping as a hub for high speed trains to a number of countries.
The Paris prosecutor suggested that the investigation be opened for a possible attempted homicide.
