Accra (Europe Brief News) – President John Dramani Mahama selected Prof. Seidu Alidu as the new Executive Secretary of the Water Resources Commission. Alidu currently serves as Associate Professor and Head of the Political Science Department at the University of Ghana.
International Recognition and Scholarly Work
Prof. Alidu delivers his role based on his broad expertise across three areas, including academia and public policy, alongside governance expertise, as reported by Citinews.
The Donahue Institute at the University of Massachusetts named Alidu one of its Scholars in United States Political Thought in 2014. During his stay at the Maria Sibylla Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA), he conducted research about parliaments and democracy in Africa.

His position at the Ghana Water Resources Commission is projected to gain from his diverse research experience in governance and policy development.
