Why Did Graham Wardle Leave Heartland?
Amy and Ty have matured from troubled teenagers to husband and wife. That too, with an offspring over the span of 13 seasons by one another’s company despite Heartland being a little juicier than Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone. Viewers fell madly in love with Amy and Ty’s connection.
Ty was wiped off at the start of Season 14 by a lethal bullet injury. And blood clots, proving that hardly anything lasts a lifetime. A heartbreaking storyline twist shook the fans. However, performer Graham Wardle (In the Land of Women) willingly quit the show. That was after playing Ty Borden for even longer than a decade.

Graham addresses his lifelong friend and series producer Murray Shostak about leaving the show. This was about two years well before the startling show premiered in 2021, as per Looper. He wants to devote his energy to non-acting projects, such as his faith-based podcast, Time Has Come.
“I felt in my heart that it was time to move in a new direction,” Graham states in an email message sent in January 2021. On the contrary, they are legendary final words for actors who lose interest in their long-running TV roles. But it is understandable; the heart wants what it desires.
Co-Stars Take on Graham Wardle’s Decision
“Graham has been moving in other ways, working on different projects over the many previous years, and he’d spoken with us frankly quite a few times,” actress Amber Marshall states in an interview. Amber did, however, humbly confess that her on-screen husband’s decision upset her.
“We are, of course, a very supportive bunch of individuals. We adore one other and have worked together for over a decade,” she explained.

“I believe it is critical to listen to our gut instincts, understand what truly motivates us, and act on that information. And, certainly, you will cause harm to others along the way. But he did it in such a kind manner to all of us. And I believe that is the most significant point.” Amber went on.
