EBN- The official account of the French Football League responded to the recent statements of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Saudi Al-Nasr Club, about “Ligue 1.”
The official account of the French League in Spanish published a picture of the Argentine star Lionel Messi raising the 2022 World Cup and the award for the best player in the Qatar World Cup, and accompanied it with a tweet mocking Ronaldo:
“Here Messi also played in a temperature of 38 degrees,” in response to Ronaldo’s statement that “the Saudi League is better than the French League, yes, and I did not say that because I play here, and I do not care about what people say, they should come and play and see, try running on the field in a temperature of 38 or 39 or 40 degrees and you will see.
It is noteworthy that the legend Cristiano Ronaldo (39 years old) moved to the Saudi League in January 2023, through Al-Nasr Club, and won the award for the best scorer in the “Roshen” League last season, with the highest scoring rate (35 goals) in the history of the competition.
The veteran Portuguese star has scored 10 goals this season, while Al-Nassr Club is ranked fourth in the league table with 25 points, after the matches of the 13th round of the first leg.
