Kyiv, Europe Brief News – A local official said that Russian forces hit missiles at a large Ukrainian base near the border with NATO member Poland on Sunday. He also claimed that this Russian attack has killed almost 35 people leaving 134 wounded on the streets.

Shelling Near NATO Border
The attack on the Yavirov International Centre for peacekeeping and Security, a training base just 15 miles from the Polish border that has previously hosted NATO military instructors, brought the conflict to the doorstep of the Western defence Alliance.
Russia’s deputy foreign Minister had warned on Saturday that convoys of western arms shipments to Ukraine could be legitimate targets.
Britain said that the Russian incident marked a significant escalation of the conflict. Jack Sullivan, the White House national security adviser said any attack on NATO territory would trigger a full response by the alliance.
Maksym Kozysky, Regional Governor said that Russian planes fired around 30 rockets at the Yavoriv facility and killed almost 35 innocent civilians.
Igor Konashenkov, Russian defence ministry spokesperson said Russia had used high precision long-range weapons to strike Yavoriv and a separate facility in the village of Starichi.
He further added, “ As a result of the strike, up to 180 foreign mercenaries and a large number of foreign weapons were destroyed”.
Violent and Inhuman
