EBN- For the first time in his career, Indian star Salman Khan was a guest on the Dumb Biryani podcast hosted by his nephew Arhaan Khan, where he talked about many personal aspects and professional experiences, and revealed a surprise that his audience did not know before, which is that he spent some time in prison.
Why was Salman Khan jailed?
Salman Khan’s name was included in a 1998 case related to the illegal hunting of blackbucks. In April 2006, Salman was sentenced to five years in prison and sent back to Jodhpur jail, but was released on bail a few days later. In 2018, a Jodhpur court sentenced him to jail in a related case and the actor spent a few days in jail before being released on bail again.
Salman Khan talks about the importance of work for him
Speaking on the podcast about the importance of hard work and discipline, Salman Khan stressed that making excuses, such as needing sleep, only serves as a roadblock to success. “I’m tired… No, wake up. No matter how tired you are, I don’t get any sleep. Don’t sleep. Do something; you’ll automatically sleep. I sleep for an hour and a half or two hours, and then one day, once a month, I sleep for seven hours,” he said.
“Some days, I get a five-minute break between shots, so I sleep on the chair. In places where I can’t do anything, like when I was in jail, I would sleep. I couldn’t do anything about it. But when it comes to your work or your family, the effort you have to keep putting in, you just need to be there for your friends, family and work,” he added
