She was performing her new song Soltera at the LIV Miami club when she noticed someone in the audience trying to film her inappropriately. The video circulating online shows Shakira smiling and moving to the beat of her song, before she suddenly stops, grabs her dress and gives a “no” gesture to someone in the audience, indicating her displeasure with his behavior.
After that shot, which she tried to get past with minimal loss, Shakira returned to continue dancing for only a few seconds, but she looked angry and upset, then quickly withdrew from the stage, leaving the audience in a state of shock and astonishment.
Shakira withdraws angrily
After the video went viral on social media, many followers expressed their dismay at the incident, saying the fan’s behavior was disgraceful and unacceptable. Users on the X platform, formerly Twitter, reacted by describing the incident as “shameful” and calling for more respect for artists. One comment read: “Artists deserve respect and privacy, whether on stage or off.”
Others called for the arrest of the person who took the photos, describing what happened as a “sexual assault” that requires strict legal action. One tweeter said: “Shakira has every right to leave the stage. No one should have to endure this kind of humiliation during a performance.”
Despite this embarrassing incident, Shakira showed strength and resilience in the face of challenges. After her separation from Spanish footballer Gerard Pique (37 years old) in 2022, Shakira spoke about the difficulties of that stage, and hinted that she is looking for stability and psychological comfort with her two children Milan (11 years old) and Sasha (9 years old).
