London, Europe Brief News – A winter storm brings destruction to Europe yet again. Over the weekend this powerful storm has caused the northern side of Europe a lot, leaving four people dead and many without houses.
Knocking down bridges and billboards and damaging the transport system around Europe, the storm caused much destruction also caused a massive electricity breakdown.
Bringing strong gusts of wind the storm advanced to the nordic side of Europe affecting; Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden. All of these cities had to go through heavy rainfall and persistent snowfall.
After damaging many areas of Britain especially Scotland the storm advanced toward Germany by late Saturday creating havoc and dismay in the territory.
As Scotland has seen the worse of this storm a 60-year old woman and a 9-year old boy died when due to the strong and mighty gusts of wind a tree fell on them.
As strong winds battered around Britain it caused chaos on streets and damaged the public transport system. Winds of more than 100mph have been reported from the affected areas.
The Scottish leader warned that the other storm which will hit the region on Sunday can be more severe than anticipated.
Persistent rainfall around Denmark caused temporary closures of some main and important bridges including the key Oeresund road and rail bridge connecting Copenhagen and Malmo.
Similar destruction could be seen in Germany as well when a man died when he was hit by a loosened billboard due to the blowing winds. Moreover, the Danish media reported that a 79-year old woman died due to several severe injuries because of the wind and dangerous weather.
The southern part of Sweden was also affected. Many households faced electricity breakdown and strong winds blew their windows and caused material damage.
Flooding in many parts of Denmark caused substantial damage around the city, destroying roads, houses, and transport systems.
Similarly, in Norway same such damages were reported, and in Finland heavy rainfall caused car accidents and snowfall caused blocked roads and traffic jams.
