
Sports ( Europe Brief News): Three student-athletes from Women’s Swimming & Diving earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors for outstanding academic achievement.
Katrina Yurista (Laramie, Wyoming), Audrey Dino (St. Louis, Missouri), and Anna Callaghan (Yorktown Heights, NY), student-athletes for the WPI women’s swimming and diving program, have been selected to the 2024–25 NCAA Division III College Sports Communicators Women’s Swimming & Diving Academic All-District Team.
Yurista, a junior majoring in civil engineering and keeping a perfect 4.00 GPA, was named Academic All-District for the second time in a row. Before earning a spot at the NCAA Division III Region 3 Diving Championships for the second consecutive year, she placed 22nd in the 1-meter (376.10 points) and 26th in the 3-meter (363.40 points) diving events at the 2025 NEWMAC Championships, where she also finished seventh in the 1-meter (413.20 points) and 3-meter (428.40 points) diving events.
Additionally, Yurista has been selected to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference thrice.
With a 3.63 GPA as a senior majoring in civil engineering, Dino was named to the Academic All-District team for the first time in 2025.
She helped WPI’s 400 Free Relay ‘B’ team, which placed 15th with a time of 3:44.11 at this year’s conference championship competition. This season, Dino was also selected for the first time to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference team.
Classmate Callaghan, a senior majoring in biomedical engineering with a 3.58 GPA, receives her first Academic All-District award. She and Dino both swam in the 400 Free Relay ‘B’ team, helping them place in 15th place. Callaghan has received two NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors.
With 454 team points, WPI finished fifth in the 2025 NEWMAC Championships and sent Yurista as the only female participant to the NCAA Division III Region 3 Diving Championships.
